We brought this book/CD to China with us while adopting our daughter who was about to turn 3. She LOVED it! Our little girl who had been pretty silent the first few days became a chatter box over night after we sat and listened to this with her. She's been speaking Mandarin to us ever since and we feel like listening to this CD together, in both languages, has been great for bonding. I say the names of the animals in Mandarin and she says the English and just giggles like crazy. We're buying several other Mandy & Pandy books now as she still loves this activity after being home in the US for almost 2 months.Product details

This is great to start familiarizing your child with Chinese language. My daughter loves it and we recommend it. thanks.
We have the Mandy & Pandy Counting and Ni Hao books and really liked them. So I bought two more from the series -- Play Sports and Visit the Zoo. The language is more complicated, so harder to follow along. They tried to make the audio more interesting with different voices, but the acting is terrible and the reading of the text was very fast. So we can't follow along and repeat after to learn to say the statements. We have not read the books again.
A good book, but not as good as the counting one.
This series is great for our bilingual household. The sentences are repetitive in style which makes them very accessible to my toddler.
