UPDATE: after reading the book I used the techniques and gave my dog a session. She has a spinal injury and hasn't been able to walk for almost three weeks. I have her on all the medication the vet will allow, with hit and miss results.After the session, I didn't notice anything different for the remainer of the night.
However, this morning my girl stood up and walked outside all by herself, without falling or crying in pain!
I wholeheartingly believe in energy healing, but I'm so blown away by this result! I'll be giving both my dogs sessions once a week for life!
Super in depth review of the origins and philosophy. Way more in his book than I expected! I absolutely loved it. It's going to take many times going over all the information, (it's overwhelming) but I'd rather have too much information rather lack thereof.
No fluff, to the point and all information is highly useful.

I had no idea it was so technical. If you haven't had training in acupuncture, don't bother buying. There are other books out there for those interested in at-home procedures that you can do to help your pet without prior formal training.
Just starting to read -so far it's good.
I am not familiar with the Meridien system for dogs. Good instructions but only if one is committed to really using trying acupressure for their dog, cos it takes time to assimilate the info, understand, follow the chart and do as instructed. As a reference book with going to a class it will be fantastic!
This is a good map of all the points but as a whole, four paws five directions is more helpful as it incorporates nutrition, Chinese medicine and supplement for various disease conditions.
Excellent book for the lay-person on acu-pressure points on dogs. Learn the basic points and meridians and techniques to help your dogs in straighten out the energy flow and unblock any passages.
I didn't find the pictures that easy to follow but there is a lot of valuable information in the book and I will use it as a reference
book in trying to improve my dog's life.
I purchased their first book "The Well Connected Dog" in 2002 and loved it. My vet is doing acupuncture on one of my dogs and brought out "Acu-Dog". I hadn't seen their new book so ordered it and it is wonderful. Great pics, great detail and a wonderful tool. They even have an "Acu-Dog" app for your phone! Love it so much enrolled in one of their on-line classes.
